" SO YOU'RE OPINION ABOUT THERE KNOWLEDGE AND WHO IS SMARTER THEN THE OTHER COULD BE WRONG."
LOL...I don't know if you're taking a potshot at me. I know my spelling and grammar are usually correct. The only thing that causes me to make mistakes is the speed at which I type. Still, I'm willing to bet that most of the people who post on the boards have worthwhile things to say. I'm sure most of them have problems with spelling and grammar. Yet, I'm sure they are fairly intelligent people with minor flaws in their ability to express themselves. That said, one COULD argue that a President should be more intelligent than average. I'd argue that this is a fine standard to use...but completely without merit. A President's value is based more on his ability to make good decisions and choose good advisors. Reagan, a bright light in very few people's books, had excellent advisors. Carter, a genius, had questionable ones. Ford, a very bright man, was made to look like a clutz and a moron by the media....
The list is endless and just goes to show how people can often make very odd decisions (but still worthwhile) based on the media and how it portrays candidates. I doubt anyone here can claim that the media has been anything if not kind to Gore and somewhat hostile to Bush. |
