Sonki you are right He is the CEO of VLSI and not LSI as I posted earlier.

One more thing, there could be a possible revolution in the chip industry. There are some pioneering effort going on to avoid masks set in order to manufacture chips. Ordinarily a 5layer metal mask set cost the chip maker $100k. Now you can load the vlsi code into the tools so that it can automatically start doing the etching process.

This is a great saving as the chip maker could save a minimum of $100K for each mask set for every revision they make and for every fab they foundry with. VLSI guys can influence AMAT & other equipment makers to drive this effort.
