The exit poll data is extremely well stratified and mirrors near perfectly the demographic characteristics of the population. Consequently, they can minimize variations incredibly and produce highly precise results. Moreover, the sample sizes can dwarf those used heretofore and are truly reflective of ACTUAL voters.

I have never seen an exit poll prediction that has ever been proven wrong, to the best of my knowledge<g>

If they delay in releasing exit poll results, then this truly is a close race in that state.
