I'm very surprised we're not seeing short-covering at this point; the market has seemed so sure Bush would win, but it doesn't look so certain today. The caution is warranted, IMO, because Gore wins in Florida and Pennsylvania (two states where he's been leading marginally) would probably give him the election. The big money has all the data from exit polls right now, and they're not buying this market. Maybe Gore pulls it out--? Better for the bond market -- which means better for the equity market longer term.

BTW: are you from Arkansas?
