Talk Visual, USXP Sign Agreement to Offer Wireless Sales Program to 8,500 USXP Postal Business Center Members Nationwide
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 2000--(OTC-BB:TVCP). TALK VISUAL CORPORATION President Eugene A. Rosov announced today that under an agreement signed today with USXP (OTC:BB-USXP) the Company will offer over 8,500 Postal Business Centers the opportunity to resell wireless services. Talk Visual is a retail provider of wireless services for BellSouth Mobility, Voicestream, Simple Communications (PCS Prepaid) and other carriers.
"The timing is exceptional," said Mr. Rosov, from Talk Visual's Florida headquarters, "and of course, timing is everything. For the last month, we've been running trial programs here in Miami, using our sales force on the street to open resale operations. Mid-priced wireless services are experiencing explosive growth nationwide - even worldwide - and we believe that we can become a significant provider to the Postal Business Centers. With the experience we've had in our New York, New Jersey, Miami, Boston and Pawtucket retail stores, we're confident that we can demonstrate the program's excellent profitability to USXP's Postal Business Centers. We plan to approach the first 200 members next week."
The Company will initially offer Voicestream services in the New York/New Jersey and Dade/Broward County areas, along with PAYSMART prepaid phone card products and wireless accessories.
Richard Altomare, Chairman of USXP, said from his New York City offices today "We're very pleased to be able to offer our Postal Business Center members the opportunity to participate in the wireless revolution - and provide their customers with excellent service, at great prices. The Talk Visual program is simple and straightforward, as they handle the details out of their Miami headquarters. All our stores have to do is display the phones and related accessories, and offer them to the public. We believe that Postal Business Centers nationwide can become important neighborhood retail locations for postpaid and prepaid wireless service products, as well as a wide range of cellular phones and accessories. After all, our Centers are a favorite retail location for people sending packages domestically and abroad - and many of these people are members of the key target markets for prepaid and postpaid wireless."
