The thing that disturbs me about social security now and what the politicians (except for Browne) are saying about it is the "fixes" they are talking about: higher social security taxes (pity the poor working public) raise the age of recipients (don't live long enough to even get your money back) noone is saying privitize, even Bush only "trusts" us with a small portion of our own money. I feel bad for my kids and later generations. You know of course that a lot of people get social security who never paid in to it because the program is no longer pure retirement!
