shiny pebble time... i mentioned idbe in the post this is linked to. once or twice before that too. idbe, a canadian company, received a US patent today for research techniques related to genomic research. idbe has been working on a strep vaccine, they have the only strep vaccine undergoing human trials...(forget about that though for now). they developed a research technology called CPT...it has been licensed by at least 2 other research companies recently...i believe there will be more licensees and soon.. it is possible that idbe has key enabling patents for genomic research...their basic CPT patents have been court tested and upheld by the canadian supreme court...this is the first US patent award that i know of.
