I think some of that is because many here in Florida have no use for brother Jeb. Thinking that we might get someone to lead the nation the way Jeb has done in Florida, perhaps got people to thinking. It certainly isn't because Bush didn't spend enough money in this state. Ads/commercials for him were probably 5-1 to Gore. Even his mother had her commercial saying something like "My son wouldn't do that" discussing social security and potential concerns.
