No question about it. When Bush's DUI thing became an issue, both the Undecided and Nader-leaning voters saw the cover-up to what Bush did and how he covered over the incident. That he got busted and convicted for DUI didn't mean beans to but a very few voteres. But what did mean beans was when the undecideds and Nader-leaning voters realized Bush literally used his voting-aged twins as the excuse for not telling the American people about the DUI. Heck, the voting-age twins, as voters, had a right to know about the DUI. I think this, deep down, led the two important groups of voters to come in solidly behind Al Gore, precisely because they didn't want to see a president who'd so easily use 'cover-up' as strategy.

However, as I write this, CNN just moved Florida back into the "Too Close to Call" category. Will it be I whose eating crow--LOL? Regardless, my point above is worthy of consideration and should be well-taken.
