I'm wondering if the QCOM experience has prompted anyone here to do an annual portfolio rebalancing going forward, particularly with tax deferred accounts? At the risk of repeating something someone has already written, I'd like to encourage that people thoroughly come to grips with their tolerance for risk with regard to having a substantial portion of one's portfolio in one stock. Having done that, I hope each of us will write down the specific criteria needed to trigger partial sales of a stock position that exceeds that tolerance for risk. Once those criteria are met, partial sales should be made regardless of how recently our portfolio might have been rebalanced. --Mike Buckley
