Just learned that MarketStream has a Level 2 interface for their Universal Market Data Server (UMDS) called the "NASDAQ Level 2 Market Maker Application". Hyperfeed (formerly PC Quote) and S&P Comstock are the only supported data vendors. You can get the details and download it for free at <http://www.uniserv.com/level2.htm>. Be aware that MarketStream has distributed 10,000 free copies of their version 2.x UMDS, and so support is almost non-existent.

The availability of L2 for the UMDS means that TradeLab will likely support L2 input (this is a correction to my previous post, #1216), although it hasn't been tested. And I haven't used the L2 version of the UMDS.
