To All, some election. I was sure happy to see the networks get egg on their faces not once, but twice. However, I think Dubya had a legitimate complaint. Calling Florida so early for Gore could have hurt his turnout in the Western states. By the time they called it back for Bush, the voting had stopped. But now it is back to even.

In all seriousity, I think Bush won. He has the lead in Florida while the uncounted absentee ballots are mostly from servicemen, and they are Bush supporters. I can't blame Gore for not giving up and waiting for a recount, but it looks like Dubya's smarter brother delivered his state, even if he didn't make it in within the "free pizza" time limit. <g>

One thing for certain. The new President can hardly claim a mandate. And the stock market likes mandates.
