Richard, you are right, the Lundin's have their own agenda, and it does not involve Oman, they want to get the best deal possible in piping their expected oil from their 5A concession. If Sudan is the only thing Arakis has, then they can twist Arakis' hands, but if Oman comes through, and the 50 plus MM buck in the bank are well deployed (including the prudent use of debt) in other vewntures, Arakis can be more forceful in relation to Sudan.

I think, however, that Lundin have special connections with the Malays and that will be something that the new president will have to learn how to handle.
