Agreed. You may be right about the corporate LAN market in the short term. FORE's Annual Report suggests that they are going after both LAN and WAN markets (any market where ATM can be applied).

What is interesting to note is the number of ADSL vendors supporting (or moving to support) ATM. (i.e. ATM over ADSL). This may mean that within the next two years it may be commonplace to have ATM to the home. If this is the case, we may find corporate LANs moving in the ATM direction too. Why? If everyone gets ATM at home (possibly with ATM based LANs), why should we have a different technology for corporations?

Of course, the above is purely speculative. And share prices are based more on the short term perceptions of short term gains than on grand visions.

But then again; Those making corporate purchasing decisions may indeed take this into consideration when making new purchases.
