Mark,

You better be more specific. P166 means Pentium 166Mhz; P166+ means Cyrix 6x86 P166+

I am soryy for mistaking that you are fool enough to buy a Pentium 166 to work.

IBM Puzzle is not a good benchmark for chip performance at all. I have been reading various stories and speculations on M2 performance for months. Frankly speaking, I have no idea how it perform. What worries me most at this moment is that Cyrix might name M2 as "6x86MX". If it is true that Cyrix used this name, I believe that my CYRX stock value would be in deep troubles for the rest of this year. Maybe, I should get out of it shortly. This company simply does not have a decent marketing concept. I don't have such a great confidence with this company after the MediaGX license and M2 name issues. With the name of 6x86MX, I think that I have enough of it!

As to various BIOS readings, I encountered one too before. It identified the Cyrix 6x86-P150+ either P150+ or P166+ at different time. It has to be result of poor quality of the mobo. I returned it to the vendor for this reason.

Fuchi ... who loves Cyrix's innovations
