senor, at 1.30 a.m., pst, i finally said goodnight to dan, bernie, tom, peter and the rest of the boys. it's really a shame that time zones precluded the majority of the country sitting in on one of the most bizzare events in the history of this great country.
i can tell you first hand that the emotional rollar coaster was unlike anything i have ever seen in my life. the drama of the ever changing events could not have been scripted by hollwood's top screenwriters. it would have been laughed off as too absurd and unbelieveable. but, yet, there it was, being played out live in front of an unbelieving world audience that had to be shaking their heads in dis-belief.
although i did not vote for him, mr. gore had my early morning sympathy as we watched in amazement as one minute before he was to deliver his concession speech to the world, his mind was changed for him because of the ever growing uncertainty in florida. the conflicting emotions he must have been feeling are way beyond my comprehension.
soon, i hope, their will be a video which compiled footage from the various networks throughout the evening that will be edited into a 2 hour format that will be something i will want to own. their has never been anything like this!
i'm still in shock.
sleepless in socal
p.s. obviously, you did not vote quite enough times. |
