Problem with the idea ... One problem with forcing those who improperly convict innocent citizens to serve the unjust sentence themselves will be the strong deterrent against convicting anyone, guilty or innocent, since any and all convictions bring heavy risks. So --- we'd need some safeguards against honest error. The idea of accountability still has merit, it just needs refinement. Cheers, PW.
