Actually, I think the stock market doesnt like mandates. I think it likes it best when confusion reigns in washington. (less done that way)

Unfortunately, for whomever gets office, it is a foregone conclusion that the credit excesses built up over the last several years are going to be purged resulting in a significant recession. And probably an elimination of the budget surplus that has been projected to last for the next 15 years. imo

On a lighter note, what did you think of GS recommendation of Micron....Possible debt offering in the works maybe?
