Avid NewsCutter XP - The NewsCutter XP system includes a wealth of visual effects
and audio tools that let you create a distinctive look, or give the story more impact,
even when time is short. Targeted for the journalist-editor and offering many of the
same editing features as the Effects model, the NewsCutter XP system supports DV25
single stream and features fast rendered effects and an IEEE1394 interface. This
software-based NewsCutter system is fast, easy to use, affordable and complements
the news production process to get your content to air or to the Web faster.
NewsCutter Effects comes with either dual stream DV25+DV50* or IMX** (50Mbit
MPEG I-frame), has full component, composite, and audio I/O, SDI and SDTI optional*.
NewsCutter XP, expected to be available in Q4 2000, comes with single stream DV25
support and an IEEE1394 interface.
