Hello Elmat, my primary intent was not to compare DSL to wireless as much as I was exposing some of DSL's other uses that don't rodinarily get discussed. Will ADSL be profitable when sold to single line residential users, you ask?

Who knows at this stage what type of "medium" will be profitable, and what will be a "loss-lead" that sells up to something else in the enhanced "services" realm? I don't have a clear vision on how or what will eventually be redeemed into shekels, once the pricing levels for bandwidth and the ultimate effects of competition find their respective resting places. Will DSL yield on its own the kinds of margins that entrepreneurs envisaged two years ago? IMO, no.
