John, If Gore wins, he has a popular and electoral victory, and we have a balance of power on Capitol Hill. It would be a much healthier situation. The incredibly foolish early declarations of Gore's (and later Bush's) victories by the press are no longer a factor in this election. The recount was automatic under Florida law. Scumbria
