Clinton did not win even 50% of the popular vote. Essentially six of ten voters voted for someone else. "If he were a real person of class he should have stepped down"... or called for a re-vote to clarify who the real person of choice was. Yuk yuk. I don't think he should have stepped down. My point was he didn't WIN the people. "Nonsense" - neither person should step down. If I was Gore (thank goodness I'm not!!) I wouldn't have conceded either. I don't want him to win which is my vote, but it would have been foolish for him to concede just as it would have been foolish for Clinton to retract nd ask for another vote to 'prove' something. Thus Bush should not concede either just because 200,000 Americans voted for Gore.
