The turnout was much higher than normal, which is the probable reason for more absentee ballots then anticipated. The GOP was counting on the absentee ballots reflecting the propensity of military people to vote for Bush. I have no idea why the recount is taking longer. It is my understanding that the rules imply that not all absentee ballots need be in yet. The other stuff is nonsense........
