Bill, I think that 'born a Democrat/Republican die a Democrat/Republican' mentality applies to a lot of people in this country and in the U.S.. I believe it is more pertinent in the U.S. where they only have a two-party system. We have shown here that we will elect more than just a liberal or conservative government whereas, in the U.S. they seem truly averse to the idea of a third party (or more). Personally, I don't see a difference between the Democrats or Republicans. More people should listen to Ralph Nader... (sorry guys, I don't want to open a can of worms for debate. Just and outsiders view.)

Well, at least neither country has the Italian parliamentary system. :-)
