Does 1% sound like alot of the vote? I don't think so!

>3000 for Buchanan in Palm Beach, three times the number in any other Florida district. Take 2000 of those and give em to Gore and the national election goes to him. Still, looking at the ballot they showed on tv just now, it doesn't look illegal, only stupidly constructed and confusing to nearsighted morons. Not sufficient grounds for a challenge, IMO... besides, the logical remedy would just be to throw out the votes, which wouldn't help Gore...

Also there were news people (NBC for one) stating that the count was down to only 600 votes ahead for Bush. When in fact Bush was ahead by 6,700 with the last 1% of the ballots being counted at that time!

that's because they were citing different vote counts... everyone's now on the same page, ~1800 advantage for Bush on the first count...

this could be fun, but if I had to bet I'd say Bush gets it...course, my options bets never work, so I could be an excellent contrarian indicator...
