I think that applies more to RIMM than HAND. I expect that all companies in the Consumer electronic space to have "big news" and new product announcements, including HAND. Any traders should be expecting this.

The problem for HAND is not as much its product line, (though its unit build quality is rightfully questioned), its that its product line is simply a clone of the Palms. How will HAND profit on essentially a piece part assembly with liscened OS, business model. The expandablity of the Handspring units is interesting but not compelling, and without enough significance compared to Palm's own current expandablity options. IE you can get Omnisky modem's and service for Palm units, the springboard give no advantage.

For the most part the Springboard expansion gives users the ablity to purchase functions that are better handled with cheaper and more robust application specific devices.

But as Cheeky Kid says I don't even know how to operate a handheld device, what do I know
