I'm not as concerned about the future of HDTV as I am with the future growth of the FPD industry. I believe that Sage will do well going forward whether or not HDTV becomes popular, as Sage's business is more focused in the area of feeding flat-panels with a superior signal from their display processors, as opposed to decoding an HDTV signal and feeding it to a flat panel.

IMHO, we're straying off course a bit here. Sage is in the business of providing display processors and IC's that drive flat panels. HDTV is a television platform that actually can be delivered on a CRT as well as a flat panel.....Two very different things here.

I can think of tons of applications for flat panels and none of them brings to mind HDTV. However, I DO think it's very interesting that Sage is offering a line-doubler in their new chip that delivers a near HDTV image. It's not exclusively for HDTV applications. Here's a clip from the PR:

"The superior video quality and low system cost afforded
by the FLI2200 will make it a critical component for a
new generation of electronics, including enhanced TVs,
DVD players, flat panel monitors and projectors."

All-in-all, I believe the future is very bright indeed for SAGI. Best of luck to you.
