That could be, but believe it or not, I think people were making a mistake in this county for some reason. I compared the number of votes for Buchanon on a % basis to other areas with similar trends for Bush and Gore and Buchanon clearly got about 2000 votes more than you would expect. My guess is that Gore really would have won Florida if this mistake wasn't made by these particular voters. It's that close.

Who's to say that there isn't an inverse mistake that favored Gore in some other region with some other voting method. Maybe the mail man just happened to loose a couple thousand absentees that had voted for Bush.

An election this close is a bad situation. Too much second guessing can occur and in this case there might be a case for it. I want Bush to win very badly, but this mess isn't how I'd like to see it happen.
