Sounds a bit defensive to me. I went to a Brocade/EMC joint seminar this morning. Some of us asked about the status of the 2 Gig switch. The Brocade guy said the following: "It will be this year. Gee, when is Comdex???" I think the last remark was rhetorical. I expect several product announcements at Comdex and hope to hear of clarification about product lines and future pipelines. The EMC part of the pitch was decidedly cool about Brocade. The two companies were presently jointly, but I observed that the slides EMC uses were more generic. Everything they said could be used with any other vendor. Just a minor note and EMC may treat all other companies that way.
