"What do you think they will do about Palm Beach?"

First I would like to say that I - yes - voted for Gore although I liked much that Bush stands for to.

Now for your issues of the problem ballots. First I believe they've already said what is done is done (i.e. the 'problem' ballot). From what I've seen of the 'problem' ballot it's not a big deal. If you can't follow simple arrows pointing from the candidate to the proper hole to punch.. well.. If that one is allowed to 'redone' then anyone could say they were confused and want to revote. Shouldn't be allowed and way too divisive to open up that can of worms.

Second, if the demos get lawyers involved and drag this thing out they are going to lose TONS (!) of support from us independent voters. We need to call it a day after the recount (my opinion of course). To drag it on is way too divisive again.

Third, I find it so ironic that Gore didn't win Tenn. (or even Arkansas for that matter). If he had won is home state Florida would not even be an issue. Game - set - match. I don't know.. If you can't win your own homes states. Just doesn't look good. Who knows you better than your own people? If they didn't vote for Gore - not good in my book.

I say.. hey .. do the recount. Then call it a day. To drag this into the courts (please (!!!!) don't get Jesse Jackson involved!!!!) is going to lose the demos TONS and TONS of support in the future. Do you risk the next 10 years to drag it into court? And what if you win? How much of the country would be behind you after that? Recount. Then move on.
