UF you bring up issues of legality and "just" resolution. All good issues. Nixon had the same choices when he ran against Kennedy and he opted to let the vote stand rather than drag it into the legal courts. The longer this drags out the uglier it's going to get. Lord willing the recount will produce more than 3,407 votes separating Bush from Gore (the number of folks who voted in Palm Beach for Buchanan). Somehow I get a sickening feeling it won't. The irony of the whole thing is that a Democrat approved the new ballot. I heard that it was designed the way it was so the print could be bigger for the elderly.

What a mess. And on she goes.. Overseas military folks saying they were not sent their voter forms (I think this is another case of 'really unfortunate but too bad'). A possible recount in Wisconsin (don't think that will change anything).

Having experience with plenty of lawyers in my time. H*ll UF if you give a team of lawyers an hour to look at something they can find something that's illegal. "a just resolution" and lawyers haggling over minutia do not equate to the same thing. Recount then call it a day.

You have to laugh a bit over the irony. Here I am a registered democrat arguing for Bush and your probably a Republican arguing for Gore!

Interesting read. (I can see the Lawyers working feverishly now!)
