What is with this home state crap? William F. Buckley is from Connecticut and he couldn't get elected dog catcher in that state. The state of TN has changed dramatically from the last time Gore was elected. TN would have gone even bigger had Gore not been the candidate. People today seem to want everyone to do the simple thing, the expedient irrespective of whether it is right or not. IF GW had had this happen to him in a state where his opponent's brother was the governor, I could just hear old Rush Limbaugh now. If the Republic could survive the depression, LBJ's lies, Watergate, and Clinton's scandals, they certainly can wade through this vote count issue in THE critical state that will determine who the President should be.
