If Bush wins, it just means polls are useless. Anything that has less than a 100% sample rate is bound to have some error in the final analysis. Polls are usually much to small to be effective.

With respect to the "... look alike to me effect", I don't think so. There are differences, but how major are the differences really. Gore was historically a conservative democrat, and Bush is (IMHO) a more liberal republican..

This wasn't an election run by the candidates.. it was an election run by the media. Politicians get pigeoned holed by the media now adays.. it doesn't matter what THEY believe, the media will make the major of the populous think they believe whatever the MEDIA wants you to.
