I may be a little rusty in my civics, but EVERY U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION is decided by the electoral college.

It is usually a non-event because of the generally clear cut margins of victory.

This time, the way the votes fell, the significance of our Constitutionallly mandated electoral system becomes highlighted to the n'th degree.
