Sad day for world politics. Just imagine the example we are setting for the rest of the world, where we're trying to promote democracy. The Chinese must be having a heyday with this. Lost credibility? Thank you, Al Gore and your henchmen. As usual, you're putting your own perceived interests above those of your country. God, help us all.

Man, the rhetoric is thick in here. I need hip boots just to walk through all the BS coming from both sides. One thing I don't get though -- since when did Republicans become angelic citizens who do no evil, and Dems are responsible for all the ills of the world? You want to talk about a stain on democracy? Remember a little burglary incident called Watergate?

Politics and power corrupts all men (and women). Neither side has a lock (or even much of a grasp) on purity. And I would bet very strongly that no matter who comes out ahead, the fact that it is so close will make the loser want to litigate it. I'm saying that either Gore or Bush will do damn near anything to become the leader of the free world. And isn't that what is appropriate? Don't you want a zealous leader who won't back down if the cause is worth fighting for?

Flame away, I've got asbestos gloves on.
