I would venture to say, since you threw it out, that the ratio exceeds CA's. How much high tech is left in San Diego compared to total population. I lived in San Diego for 15 years. The military is not by majority a high tech industry. Good that Qualcomm came along. But there is a lot of non tech industry in CA 2/3rds of the state is agricultural, but that doesn't degrade a state like you think. You must be one of those borned and raised Californian's that would never leave the state. You know the 27 year old skate board "technologists" that hung out down at PB. Sorry, that doesn't count. Perhaps you need to round out your view of things and travel somewhere other than Palm Springs.
