Now I will refute myself:" Whether Clinton and Gore are liberal cannot be determined by the isolated mention of policies, but by the general orientation of their idea of government. They think that the federal government is supposed to take an activist role in the direction of the economy and try to fine tune what one might call 'social evolution'. They think they are more important to the state of the nation than they really are. And that propensity to social tinkering and economic centralism is liberal.".......
