I hope Bush and the Republicans are the ones that concede this to Gore. You'd think the Republicans would be the ones to understand the situation that has developed under Clinton. You'd also think they would know the history of Hoover and Carter and realize if they concede now they can take over in 4 years. Whoever wins now, the party is screwed in the next election, which is the important one IMO. There's nothing that can be done to save the markets over the next 4 years by either guy, but be damn sure people will remember what their retirement accounts looked like under Clinton should Bush be the fall guy.
