What would also rip the country apart is if Bush assumed the presidency with most Americans living in the full knowledge that Gore had won. This is why I think Bush's best move is to concede Florida to Gore. Were Bush to do this, he'd become a national hero and would easily win the presidency some time in the future. He's young enough to wait.

Doing this would also prove Bush's claim that he's a "uniter" and not a "divider." Were Bush to assume the presidency with Gore having won the popular vote nationally and Gore also would have gotten the electoral college vote, in consideration of the 19000+ marked Gore/Buchanon ballots, America would be a country extremely divided and Bush's presidency would become stained from the get-go.

If the greater majority of Americans believe Bush doesn't deserve the presidency, based on a fair vote count, and with the rising of the Green Party, get ready for revolution folks. And count me in on it! And I submit that others among you who'll join.
