I have TS V/4.04-01 Build 20. It uses Easy Language exclusively though you can also use dll's separately developed outside TS. I don't know how to register them or call them, but that's what the developers are doing in some cases. You can develop along either or both paths.

re: counter function... a function needs to provide a return, otherwise it's a do-nothing piece of code. You'd need to include some sort of return. But all that may be academic depending on how it goes using the COM() function I sent to you. As you probably know, anything created or modified in PowerEditor can't be modified in QuickEditor.
