Good call. On this morning's news, a Florida Democrat said as much. He is not apologetic at all and says that this type of thing is not uncommon. The only thing, he says, that makes this a problem is the fact that it's a close presidential election and that anyone who pursues this beyond the recount should be ashamed....

You know what will be interesting? IF Gore wins, you know that there will be gloating about how Bush couldn't win the state his brother runs...nor could he properly steal it. However, I'm fairly certain that Bush is going to recognize that accepting results for what they are is the gentlemanly thing to do.

What is this new report I hear about the first announcement of Florida going to Gore causing people who hadn't voted in the panhandle to leave the booths? I thought the announcement had to be made after polls had closed, but this reporter said that portions of the panhandle are in another time zone? Is that true? Does the panhandle usually vote republican, because I saw it painted blue in the paper?
