Petz,

there was a discussion about the number of Buchanan Ballots:

Subject 28880
(well somewhere in that endless thread)
They mentioned that Buchanan received I believe 8,000 votes there when he ran in the past in the primaries, and that the county has a fairly heavy concentration of people who are registered under reform reform party - some 18,000 I believe.

As far as having second election in Florida, it's absurd. You will always find some "irregularities". There is never a perfect election. I know John Doe didn't get to the polling place because his car was in the shop and wants new election day, and Jane Doe forgot her reading glasses at home and now she is not sure if she wants to vote again just to make sure she voted for her candidate, and Joe Sixpack is a little blurry about the whole election thing because he had one too many drinks. He wants to vote again.

Maybe we should stop having elections. What's the point of having elections if you can't have perfect election? I hear that Augusto Pinochet needs a job. Maybe we should hire him to run the country.

Or maybe we should just forget about the whole participation of the population and just have the lawyers of each side to fight out the election in the court. Wait, Gore has all the trial lawyers in his packet (or the other way around). Let's just fight it out with guns like they do in third world. Bush has more gun owning supporters.

Joe
