Scumbria, The Republican leadership never accepted Clinton's presidency, which was on far more solid ground than Bush's. I believe Clinton received only 43% of the vote, vs. 48% for Bush or Gore in this election. So either man will have at least as much legitimacy. I came across a link to an interesting page for the recount: foxnews.com Bush's lead is shrinking as we speak. Oh oh. Joe
