as required by Florida law, History has not been kind to President's who win by technicality and not the popular will. This is making the U.S. look like some banana republic. Probably the best bet would be to invalidate the results, and run the Presidential election again nationwide. There would be no doubt about legitimacy then. Anything Bush touches will be tainted with illegitimacy. Can you imagine a Supreme Court decision tipped by a justice when the majority can make a case that the justice was not legitimate? We are talking about the loss of confidence in the rule of law. TP
