Ocean Power Corporation Files Patent Application

EL DORADO HILLS, Calif., Nov 9, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Ocean Power Corporation (OTC Symbol:PWRE), on November 7, 2000, completed the filing of a provisional patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a "Stirling Engine Platelet Manifold." The invention relates to Stirling engines, and more particularly, to a manifold formed of platelets for use in a heat exchange system.

The invention may have broad application in a variety of Stirling engines, but was conceived and is being developed as a key component of Ocean Power's H2OkW System(TM).

Opinion:
- This technology is very unique and should make Ocean Power's Stirling engine offerings cheaper and more efficient thereby substantially outperforming other competitive Sterling engines.
