>>>MY QUESTION: On election day, when was it that these 3500 voters realized that they made their alleged mistake?<<<

Remember, there are three major problems with the Florida election:

1) Buchanon tallied 3,407 in a smaller and predominently Democratic county and only 600-700 in larger counties.

2) 19,100 ballots were disqualified because they were marked both for Gore and for Buchanon, many of 'em also showing straight Democratic tickets.

3) There are reports of many civil rights voting violations where Democratic leaning voters were denied their right to vote.

In an eggshell, add it together, had conditions been, as FoxNews is so fond of, "fair and balanced," Gore would have and should have won the state of Florida and thus the presidency.

I continue to submit that if Bush is truly a "uniter" and not a "divider" he would concede the Floridan electoral college votes to Gore. He'd truly then be a "uniter" and instanatly become a national hero, thus setting the table for him to win the presidency in the future and he'd then have a substanative claim to the office.
