For the record, I voted for Gore and I have a real problem with people shunning responsibility for people having voted twice and placing all the
responsibility on the design of the ballot.

For the record, I did a vote swap (so I voted for Gore with the agreement that a guy in Texas would vote for Nader), so I'm not a Gore supporter. However, I don't think that this is an example of a shunning of responsibility as you do. If the ballots were the same as in the rest of the country (or even the rest of Florida) and people screwed up their vote I'd agree with you. But that was not the case, and 19000 were denied their right to have their vote count.

It's kind of like disputing a bad call in a football game. With the replay review mechanism in place, it restores some fairness to a very subjective and often incorrect process. To say that complaining about an unfair call is to not take responsibility for an unfair outcome seems unduly harsh.

Hey, what happened to the --Mike Buckley who always defends the little guy? What REALLY happened to you in New Zealand?!
