What?! In 1996 Buchanan garnered 8,000 votes in the primary in Palm Beach County. That means 8,000 people in that county voted for Pat in 1996. It is hardly far-fetched to suggest that he would grab that many votes this time around (even in a general election). People who vote for Pat (The Reform Party Candidate), vote on principle, just like Nader's 96,000 FL voters.

Put away the party banner, and just think about this point before responding. It is certainly within the realm of reasonable possibility. Just because many (if not you, too) Dems hate Pat Buchanan, doesn't mean that 3500 of the 8000 did not vote for him.
