No one liked my Abe Lincoln election item?

Not true. It was quite interesting. I was pondering adding a UK perspective but thought I would pass. I was reading a British perspective of the civil war a short time ago and it confirmed your earlier stated view regarding secession. The British view continues a little further. The only reason slavery came up at all was that it provided a excuse to keep Europe from helping the South. It was therefore a political move by the North.

Jim Baker is supposed to be on Bloomberg very shortly.
