I'm an avid lurker here, I just have to butt in on this subject..... as to how these voters know they voted incorrectly:

There was a report on NPR yesterday concerning the ballots in West Palm Beach . They interviewed some very angry voters who claimed that after they had incorrectly punched their ballot, they discovered their mistake and asked for a new ballot. They were told they could not have new ballot and to put the incorrect ballot in the box. This is illegal, when you make a mistake on a ballot you are allowed to destroy that ballot and get a new one.
From what I understand a new vote cannot be called, but individual voters can file lawsuits. It seems to me that if enough voters are pissed off enough, you could have a class action lawsuit on your hands. I don't think that Gore will want to drag this out, but some angry voters in Florida may .
